FOR MINOR ATHLETES (UNDER 18 YEARS OLD)

I am the natural parent or legal guardian of the Athlete named above and confirm that:

• I have full legal authority and custody over the Athlete.
• No other guardian has been appointed by any court.
• I have read, understood, and accepted all terms of this Agreement.
• I consent to the Athlete’s participation in BFC – Battle For Champions (MMA) and agree to all terms on behalf of the Athlete.

DEFINITION OF ACTIVITIES

For the purposes of this Agreement, “Activities” include, but are not limited to: training, weigh-ins, medical examinations, rules meetings, warm-ups, bouts, post-fight procedures, and any movement or activity within the event venue related to participation in BFC – Battle For Champions, an MMA competition.

 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I acknowledge and understand that Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a high-risk combat sport involving striking, grappling, submissions, takedowns, and close physical contact.

I understand that participation may result in serious injury, including but not limited to cuts, fractures, concussions, permanent injury, disability, or death.

I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my participation.

 

MEDICAL FITNESS DECLARATION

I confirm that I am in good physical and mental condition and medically fit to compete.

I declare that I have not suffered from any injury, illness, or disability likely to affect my ability to safely compete in this event.

 

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I hereby voluntarily waive, release, and discharge BFC – Battle For Champions, its promoters, owners, directors, officers, referees, judges, officials, medical staff, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, or causes of action arising from my participation in the Activities, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct of the Released Parties.

 

INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or legal fees arising out of or related to:

• My participation in the Activities, or
• Any breach of this Agreement by me.

MEDICAL ATTENTION & EXPENSES

I acknowledge that participation in BFC – Battle For Champions (MMA) requires submission of a valid medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner confirming my fitness to compete.

I authorize BFC and its representatives to provide first aid and seek emergency medical treatment if required.

In the event of an emergency, I will be transferred to the nearest public hospital for treatment. Any treatment at a private medical facility shall be at my own expanse.

I accept full responsibility for all medical costs incurred and confirm that I have adequate medical insurance coverage for this event.

 

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT & DEHYDRATION

I acknowledge the risks associated with weight cutting, dehydration, and rapid weight loss.

Any weight management practices are undertaken voluntarily and at my own risk, and I release BFC from any liability arising from such practices.

 

REFEREE & MEDICAL AUTHORITY

I acknowledge that referees, judges, and medical officials have full authority to stop a bout or remove me from competition at any time for safety reasons.

I agree to respect and accept all such decisions without protest.

 

NO GUARANTEE OF BOUT

I understand that my bout may be cancelled, postponed, or modified due to medical reasons, opponent withdrawal, regulatory decisions, or safety concerns.

I waive any claim against BFC arising from such changes.

 

COMPLIANCE WITH GAMMA RULES & ANTI-DOPING

I agree to comply fully with all Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) rules, regulations, codes of conduct, and anti-doping policies applicable to this event.

Failure to comply may result in disqualification and disciplinary action.

MEDIA RELEASE

I grant permission for my image, name, likeness, voice, and performance to be photographed, filmed, and recorded during the event.

I authorize BFC to use such media for promotional, broadcast, and educational purposes without compensation.

I agree not to publish or engage in derogatory commentary about other athletes during the event without prior written approval from BFC.

 

PERSONAL PROPERTY

I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings and that BFC is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage.

TRUTHFULNESS & DISCLOSURE

I declare that all information provided by me is true and complete.

Any false or misleading information may result in immediate disqualification and void this Agreement.

 

UNDERSTANDING OF AGREEMENT

I confirm that I have read this Agreement in full, understand its contents, and sign it voluntarily.

I acknowledge that this document is a legally binding contract and that I am waiving certain legal rights.

 

MODIFICATION

This Agreement may only be amended in writing by BFC – Battle For Champions.

No oral modification shall be valid.

 

SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Mauritius.
